I can't help myself. I love James Patterson's books. They really deliver on the characters and the stories. Yes, the writing is overwrought! With lots of exclamation points when the action gets going! But they are an enjoyable quick read, and a great mental vacation.

I haven't read the rest of this series and just happened on this as an audio book from the library. I really liked this book. I thought it kept going, had a real page turner feeling and I got totally caught up in the characters as the book went on. It wasn't till through the first few chapter that I realised that it was part of a series but still enjoyed, it didn't detract from the story and the way it was written I didn't feel like I was missing something. Would recommend it for James Patterson fans or those who just generally like a bit of. Thriller that doesn't involve a lot of thinking behind it.

I really enjoyed this book. It was full of surprise and twists and turns and I had a hard time putting the book down. I have to say though, I think I'm more of a fan of the Bennett series than I am of the Alex Cross series now.
