Too gross for me. I don’t mind slasher gore, but I couldn’t take all the 💩 stuff, dead animals, etc. just not for me.

Quick read
The banter among the characters was nice. A twist on the slasher trope. Looking forward to more books by this author.

This was a funny and irreverent little story. This will not be everyone's cup of tea, but I liked it immensely. This is a perfect story for the summer, entertaining, and requires no mental "heavy lifting."

Never trust an Adam, they make up everything.
This is an insane story with all the fixins. Adam Millard is absolutely hilarious, and I laughed at least once per each and every page! Out loud! My wife even said "oh come on, it can't be THAT funny..." But it really was! Blood and guts and my God it was SO GOOD, I'll be buying and reading all of Adam's books from here on out.

A true comedy horror story.

I bought this from a woman in one of my horror groups and couldn't resist starting it right away. Larry was Pigface, a serial killer in the 1970s that retired after nearly being burned alive by one of his "final girls." But despite the fact that it's 40 years later, he can't fight his urges anymore and returns once again to terrify stupid, horny teens and shed some blood. There are loads of gems for slasher film fans. (The gas attendant, Ozzie, puts on a great Ralph from the original Friday the 13th, telling them they are DOOMED if they go there! DOOMED!!! The last names include Krueger, Vorhees, Loomis.) We even get the pet pig's thoughts.
From the first page of the book: “‘I was a great killer, once upon a time. Now I can’t even sneeze without pissing down my leg.’ Larry Travers.” I laughed my ass off during this book. It was great!

This was a fun read. Larry is a comedy/horror love letter to the likes of Friday the 13th and Sleepaway Camp (but without the shock penis ending.) I'll definitely be checking out more from the author, as Larry was a blast.

Campy pig sh*t
Absolutely enjoyed this read, it’s equal parts humor and slasher. Who can’t get behind an old as shit mass murderer wanting to relive his day of infamy? Oh! Did I mention his mask talks? Well it does and it’s all the sass and I told you so Larry needed.
There’s a lot of references to other iconic horror movies, books, etc that I found exquisite.
