Wow....
So I had heard a few mixed things about this series, and even avid fans had said it was a slow read to start. I completely disagree with that. I was hooked from page 1. I loved the supernatural elements throughout this book which dripped with mystery and a strange sense of wonder, which was highlighted even more by Maggies amazingly lyrical writing style.
The characters were just wonderful. I loved Blue's quirkiness, and the relationship she had with her family. I loved Gansey and his intensity and passion for the mystery of Glendower, and his relationships with Adam, Ronan and Noah.
I feel however that Adam stole the book for me, I just loved the way he interacted with the crew, and how much his inner turmoil was eating a way at him. I loved how developed he was, and how real he was.
The only gripe I could say I had with the book (which is a small gripe) is that I wish the last few chapters weren't so rushed. I had to go back a reread a few bits because I had missed certain points due to the speed and abruptness of the end but I cannot wait to continue this series.

Entertaining and magic filled. Chainsaw and the house of psychic women have my heart.
Just hoping Gansey isn't still annoying when the series ends.
