This book was pretty cute. I probably felt more for Karolina than any of the others, although I'm definitely Miriam hahaha! Poor Karolina that is just the hardest thing to go through and she was incredibly sweet. Obviously Emily was not someone to be reckoned with but I did love how she ended up coming back to her husband and that she had softened quite a lot. She was vindicated in the end. 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Thanks to the publisher for this review copy!

I have been a Weisberger fan since I first read THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA way back in the day (2003!!!), and have eagerly read everything she has written since. This latest title in the DEVIL series can definitely be read as a stand-alone, but for those devoted series readers like me, there are welcome cameos by and references to characters in the previous books - yay! This book is straight up SNARKY and hilarious and should 100% be taken with a grain of salt.......I'm hypersensitive to body shaming and dieting in books, and while this is NOT a book that models healthy behaviors, I can more than recognize the humor and ridiculousness that is the reality for too many women in our world today. All in all, this is a juicy, funny and warm story that will provide a welcome escape from real life for readers of women's fiction.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC.
It's always fun when an author revisits characters from other books. When Life Gives You Lululemons Weisberger takes us back to Emily Charlton from the Devil Wears Prada. Emily is now an image consultant to celebrities living in LA with her husband, Miles. At thirty six Emily is feeling like she is losing her touch as several of her clients dump her for a younger consultant. She ends up in Greenwich, CT with her old friend, Miriam, who reintroduces her to Karolina Hartwell. Karolina is in the midst of a crisis and Emily and Miriam are both ready to support her through it.
As always Weisberger tells and entertaining tale with an edge of bitchiness that is enjoyable.

As a huge Devils Wears Prada Fan I was so excited to read more of my favorite character from that book, Emily's, story. And this did not disappoint! Emily is basically the star of this book and rightfully so. She is hysterical, and witty, and we all wish we had a friend so honest and straightforward, don't we?

After her run with Miranda, Emily is off on her own doing some 'Olivia Pope - Scandal" type work. And it suits her well. BUT there's some young competition (coincidentally named Olivia) in town that is threatening to steal most of Emily's high-profile clientele. Along with her childhood friend Miriam, drowning in all things mom-life suburbia, and Karolina, an ex-model Emily knew from her Runway days who has found herself in a bit of a scandal herself, this threesome of women bands together to overcome some serious life obstacles.

I thought the story was written really well and happily read it in two days - the plotline was pretty solid and kept me intrigued throughout - I was mad, I was sad, I laughed... and oh, did I mention Miranda?!?! Yep, shes back, too! There's even a cameo from Andy!

I enjoyed When Life Gives You Lululemons. Although I can't help but feeling that Miriam bored the hell out of me. Karolina a bit as well, but her story kept me on her. So, it's safe to say Emily clearly and deservedly took the spotlight on this one. Although, I find it extremely hard to believe Emily Charlton went to summer camp, would ever wear sweatpants, or, especially watch sappy crap on TV like This is Us, Emily is still the character we all know and love - and I still want to be her BFF!

Ridiculous, overwritten, dishy & delightful. Not as good as her first hit, "The Devil Wears Prada" but entertaining nonetheless.

I absolutely loved this book, it was so easy and fun to read. I connected very well with Lauren writing about Justin Timberlake, Arizona State, Scottsdale, OrangeTheory, Athleta, Starbucks, and most importantly Lululemon. What a terrific summer read. Congratulations on another successful book, Lauren!

Miriam, Karolina, Emily— such a fun, strong, and funny group of women!

I’m not really sure why I bothered to finish reading this book. It paints a horrible picture of life as a woman - mostly dysfunctional marriage and shallow worries about how you look. Worse than an episode of the Real Housewives.
