Murakami's words are a mystery, yet his writing style is so beautiful and comforting. Birthday Girl' is a very short story with a meaningful meaning. I couldn't understand what happens in the end at first, but then I realised after reading it again!

A Classic Murakami
I really did not understand this story. I was hoping for something more, but then that's Haruki Murakami for you. If the ending was obvious and explicitly clear it would never be a Murakami novel. It would be one written by me. :D
