* RESUMEN EXPRESS CON SPOILER*

Although I didn't really find it as romantic or engaging as I thought it would be, reviews on this site say it is promising and that after a bit, it gains edge. I read Chobits, and because its one of my favorite mangas by Clamp, I'm willing to give this series a try.

From my blog Auntie Spinelli Reads

3.5/5

Anyone else out there that used to watch Cardcaptors? I totally loved that show growing up! Well, unfortunately this was NOTHING like it. Same characters, yes, but the plot was completely different. It took me until halfway through to realize the story I loved wasn't going to be making any kind of appearance. And that may have ruined it for me a bit. Clow is a place, not a person, and there are no cards at all. Sad face.

I was rather confused about what was going on. Again, perhaps because I continuously compared it to Cardcaptors. But I felt a little lost at times, not really knowing who half the characters were or what their purpose was (it did get better toward the end, though). I'm not sure what Chi and Fai had to do with anything, same for Kurogane (although he was pretty awesome). I didn't really understand what exactly happened to Sakura, or the random guy that popped up when it happened - who the hell was that?

My favorite part about this one was definitely the art (you can tell it's CLAMP). I think I could flip through and stare at the pictures all day. I did love the relationship between Syaoran (Li in the show) and Sakura, though. I always shipped them in the show! ^.^
And I love Syaoran! The sacrifice he made to save Sakura was amazing! *dreamy sigh*

Dawww.

The feather memories idea was very cool. I don't have the second volume, but someday maybe I'll get it so I can find out where the journey goes.

I am already a huge fan of [a:Clamp|8476|CLAMP|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1235468036p2/8476.jpg], and have been dying to finish this manga for a while now...but of course, I completely forgot what happened, so I had to go back and restart from the beginning.

We are re-introduced to Sakura and Syoaran in Tsubasa, but not the popular ones we got to know in [b:Cardcaptor Sakura|229145|Cardcaptor Sakura, Vol. 01|CLAMP|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1291339635s/229145.jpg|1101695]. The new Syaoran and Sakura exist in another dimension, along with other popular characters from Cardcaptor Sakura. But when Sakura loses all her memories, Syaoran must journey through different dimensions to find them, along with his trusty sidekicks (haha) Mokona, Kurogane, and Fye.

Already, the characters in this story are wonderful. While I feel like I already know them from years of Cardcaptor Sakura, the addition of new characters such as Kurogane and Fye makes the story even more interesting, and adds layers of intrigue. The dynamic between Kurogane and Fye/Mokona is hilarious, and Sakura and Syaoran's relationship is beautiful already.

This volume ends in the Republic of Hanshin, where the search for the feather begins.

CLAMP never ceases to amaze me through it's thrilling plots, and ever-connecting tales. I've been dying to purchase Tsubasa/Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles for a long while and happened upon some really nice copies for once at the local half price. I look forward to reading the rest of the series as I collect it.
