How in the world did I wait so long to read this book?!?!?This was a fantastic read! This was action packed and exciting. I loved Celaena as a lead character. She’s strong, a little prickly, and thinks for herself. I enjoyed the overall mystery of the storyline and the magic. If you didn’t really jive with ACOTAR like me, I would highly encourage you to try ToG. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

A great story. It didn't get 5 stars because I don't think I'd re-read it, and the pacing is a little slow at times. I also never found myself really excited to pick the book up strangely although I did like it when. I was reading it.
Interested in seeing what the rest of the series is like though!

I read the entire several years ago before it became popular from BookTok. I chose to pick it up again and realized how much I loved this book, and now that I am a more seasoned adult (I read it while in college) I am really enjoying this series again. I honestly think that this series is better than Sarah J. Mass' ACOTAR.

When I first got into Sarah J. Maas, I read the Throne of Glass series first rather than ACOTAR. However, I do think you should read the ACOTAR series first and then the Throne of Glass series because I feel like I didn't appreciate the Throne of Glass series on the first read through as much as I would have if I read that after ACOTAR.

I know a lot of people say this book is not the greatest but I think the character in the book does act like an 18-year old young woman would. Not many people can pull off 3 POVs in a book and I think SJM did it masterfully.

Oh and for those of you who don't know, this was initially written when SJM was 16 which is honestly super impressive.

This is everything I wanted ACOTR to be. Mystery, magic, fighting, court politics. Romance is there but as a side plot. I read the novellas before this but you don't need it. Excited for the next book!
