SUCH A *GOOD READ*. You will fall in love with the characters and their unique story.
Adventure. An amazing protagonist. And dragons! This is a clean fantasy novel, no spice, but there is a bit of slow burn happening. Iām excited for the next book in the series so I can see what happens next!

Iāve never read a book by this author before but, saw a post about it being free to buy that day and it has Dragons. Say no more, Iāll take it. Love a good fantasy store and dragons are a plus so I figured it free no harm in trying it. It was a great choice! This book doesnāt have any spice for this wondering. But after a very long binge of spice it was a nice change of pace. One of the thing I loved most was once the MC knew the truth of her up bragging she didnāt hide ur front this she met. She was honest about it, recognizing who she was and that she could change the past but could change moving forward. Yes she struggle with her self a bit about it but she faces it and used that to motivate her new path. Really glad I tried this book out and will be reading the second book once it comes out as well

I received the e-arc of this book and it's so good! I love the dragons (especially the main one) and their unique ability, and twists/reveals were great! I also loved the banter between some of the characters, and there were definitely some relatable, or memorable lines. I think this book would make a cool movie.

First, thank you to the author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I liked the premise of this book (somewhat of an Eragon x Divergent mix) and enjoyed the characters attempting to right wrongs they'd committed while blind to the truth. Semra is a very strong-willed character, and I love books about dragons.
However, I struggled to finish it. Even though the main characters are 17-19, it reads very much like middle-grade with very direct dialogue, pretty simplistic characters that were either good or bad, and a lot of internal monologuing the main character to basically spell out the plot twists to readers. Dialogue dragged down a lot of action, witty lines didn't really hit, and the characters blurred together.
It is well written, just didn't excite me.

I can confidently say that if the next few books are as good as this one, this series will be a new favorite of mine alongside the Rangers Apprentice, Keeper of the Lost Cities, and many more. It is truly a phenomenal book and I was in love with the characters from the beginning. I wish the romance would have been slightly more developed but it didnāt progress far enough as a subplot anyways this book for that to be an issue and I canāt wait to see where it goes. This book is also perfect for those looking for a ācleanā for lack of better word book with no real world swearing or spicy stuff. And is appropriate for those who have apprehensions about fantasy for religious reasons. Itās a not magical fantasy so there is nothing that religious or otherwise will take any issue with. This series aligns with Judaeo-Christian values without coming across as preachy,
over the top, or cringe as many do nowadays.

I received an ebook ARC of Dragonās Kiss by E. A. Winters in exchange for an honest review.
āPehaps your job is deathā¦ but your inclination is life.ā
WOW! I picked up this book because Iām a huge fantasy nerd, especially regarding anything involving assassins or dragons, and this story has both!
We start off by diving headfirst into the world of Semra and the children of the Mountain: children rescued from parents who abandoned them and raised under the all-knowing and wise dragon lord to rid the world of evilā¦ or so theyāre told. After a mission goes horribly wrong, Semra learns the truth, and sets off on a mission to save the rest of the child assassins and the kingdom before itās too late.
I absolutely ADORED the witty banter and relationships developed between Semra and the cast of characters (especially Siler. Heās my favorite). The combat scenes were detailed, realistic, and visually cinematic. Although the details sometimes got a little muddied, I could picture the settings so clearly in my head, especially the final battle. There was a lot going on politically throughout the story, and I did struggle to follow with all the names at first, but by the last third of the book things started to come together. And, of course, no review would be complete without a shoutout to the lovely, playful, and terrifying Zezura! This dragon will steal your heart.
Overall, I give this 4/5 stars. Beautiful launching point for us to dive deeper into the world of the Blood and Flame Saga. I canāt wait to see where the rest of the series takes us!
