Obviously a fantastic story as is expected from King. The way he can keep you hooked during his tangents through into the action is masterful. These character tangents serve to create deep and relatable characters.

I’m actually surprised at how much I loved this book! Why did I wait so long to actually read it?!? So well written and so many emotions! I’m definitely a fan of Stephen King!

I listen to the audio book and it was great. I loved it. My favorite is how the guy who was reading it would add to the characters especially when he would read Jack when he was drunk and not drunk. They were just so great. I so envisioned the actors from the movie but still a different story. I wish the movie was like this a little more it could have made it better, but they way are different and good in their own way.

this is one of the best books i’ve ever read and my first stephen king novel i’ve read. watching jack slowly lose himself to the overlook over the course of this book is so interesting and there’s really nothing else like it.
