This is a fun bouncy book that will be easy to share with students. It could be used in music class or as a read aloud with any teacher.

The illustrations in the book were beautiful. Not as beautiful as Kadir Nelson's illustrations, but still beautiful. The story was okay and I liked the multi-ethinic vibe. This book could be used in a story time kit that deals with sounds or music.

The bouncy rhythms will make young kids want to get up and dance, shake and move. Love the illustrations and diversity!

Not many words per page, this one would be great for beginning readers.
The artwork is, I believe, pastels, beautifully rendered.
This would also be loads of fun to read to a group of kids, having them act out each page.

The illustrations were the best I've seen this year! 6 out of 5 stars! The text was unfortunately boring. I read it to Kindergarten and Grade 1; most of them did not like it and started getting fidgety, even though it was a short book. So 1/5 stars... averaged to be 3.5 stars.
