I like this one. Jess 'leading' is something uncommon and she somehow made it despite her anxiety.

This was pretty fun omg!

Simon and Jess get transported to the past 10 million years ago and they meet the first lanterns and well train them and try to stop them from killing each other and finally in the past go to attack Volthoom and stop it and I love the quick nature of the battle and getting to know about the first 7 GLs but its the brutality with which they pass away is so bloody and seeing the power that is Volthoom is epic and I love the whole thing. And a great ending to the whole fight, return to the present and finally things maybe looking up for Simon and his BIL Nazir. It was a fun issue in the end and the pancakes. <3

Great ending to a great run by Humphries, he really did such wonderful things with these two and shwoing them at their best and the art got so much better with every issue, both complimenting the other and really fleshing out Simon and Jess in such interesting ways!

Such an odd collection of issues here. I always like Simon and Jess, but jumping from working with the first Lanterns billions of years ago to trying to eat pancakes and go to a party was jarring. I like when they focus on their dynamic, but they can't seem to find a story that suits it.

We discussed this further on an episode of Comic Book Coffee Break: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMs6EmEqQqw

Sam Humphries is doing a great job writing the new characters and showing that even though they are superheroes they are still relatable humans with flaws.
