I can't remember when I first read Inkheart exactly, but I suspect it was a good decade ago. And now that I've finally finished the trilogy, I hear Cornelia Funke has another sequel up her sleeve. Not that I'm complaining mind you, I'd love to see what the characters are up to these days.
All in all, I think this may be my favorite of the three books. It's the one that I was most impatient to get back to after putting it down. The stakes were the higher and the action was faster. I lost a little sleep because I just couldn't put down.

Well... I read this before and somehow I thought I remembered that part that tells what's going to happen after the story.. but it wasn't right. I thought Meggie would become a writer and marry Farid and stuff, but I suppose that didn't happen. Also I was sure that Dustfinger would die once again in the way Fenoglio described in the book. Like I actually remember seeing that scene in front of me, but it wasn't there? I'm so confused. But I still really enjoyed the story even though it took me forever to read. And I sooo wish I could visit the inkworld myself!

I finally gave up, just couldn't finish this one. Loved the first in this series, the second was okay, but this one was really getting on my nerves. Every one of the characters, even the "good guys/heroes" of the story, were irritating me at every turn and I couldn't take it anymore.
