A fun start to the series. I really liked the book after the first few chapters. It started a bit slow in my opinion, but that was just because of the setup required since the series will follow each of the family members over time. By the time they ended up in Hurley, I was invested and enjoyed it from there. While still not my favorite of the Tessa Bailey books, it was for sure worth a read.Â

Minor: Alcohol and Death of parent
As with Tessa's other books the sexual content is very explicit and is a constant throughout the entirety of the book and does typically involve cursing. The rest of the content warnings do contain minor spoilers:ecravens's review against another edition
