I am blown away. I don't think I've ever read such an incredible dystopian-alien invasion-fantasy novel. I really hope there are more books to come. (:

I went back & forth on whether to give this one 3 or 4 stars. Is it life-changing, inspiring writing? No. The romance scenes in particular were chuckle worthy. However, I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic action stories and this held my interest and kept me reading when I've been struggling to stay focused lately given my crazy work hours, so 4 stars it is! Looking forward to the rest of the series.

At the beginning I was bored and not interested in the characters. But past page 250 this book got so much better and I'm excited to see how they've turned this into a film.

Not a huge fan - felt too gruesome at times - the last 15% of the book was the best part.

I’ll probably never read the rest of this series because I love this book too much to continue the story, if that makes any sense. I really hope aliens can’t read our languages because this is quite the manual on how to successfully annihilate the human race.

I listened to this book on CD. I had already seen the movie and was concerned that like most books made into a movie I would hate the movie after reading the book, but I was wrong. I really enjoyed the book and the CD was nice it actually gave two different voices to show the two different speakers through the book. A female one when it was from Cassy's view point and a male voice when it was from Parker's view point. I found the movie actually followed very well with the book and the book actually just enhanced and gave a little extra information then the movie did.
I hate that I have been reviewing this more like how it relates to the movie but i was just so impressed with enjoying both and not being disappointed that I felt I should share!
