I think I'm finally ready to dive into this review. I was very nervous and somewhat stand-off ish about picking up this series because I knew it was RH (I have nothing against this, I just personally haven't had much success in the genre) but I kept seeing positive and raving reviews about it on both Instagram and TikTok. I'm a sucker for strong characters and I just want to give credit where credit is due to Kate Stewart, who not only was able to write incredible characters, but was also able to write this in a way that made sense to me.

I would also argue that this is a MFM poly relationship (which in my head is completely different than RH) and I have had success with MFM stories. For me, I read romance to read about epic love and soul mates, and I found that to be a strong selling point for the relationships in this book. I was able to see and understand how Cecelia was feeling for both Sean and Dom throughout this entire book. Her feelings were conveyed through the pages and it made me feel the same things she did. That, to me, is a testament to Kate Stewart's writing and story-telling.

I loved everything about this book and these characters. I can't really talk much about the plot of the book without spoiling anything major, but this was really really good and I highly recommend people who love reading romance to give it a try, even if you're scared to read something out of your element.

this book… RUINED ME. It broke my heart. If someone came to me and asked me what was this book was about… I could explain it but not without difficulty. All I know is that it was SO GOOD.

I honestly love Cecelia. And I found things in common with her. I felt for her, and understood her completely and sometimes the things she would say would break my heart because I felt the exact same way.

“I don’t exactly hate my father, but I can never understand him or his unapologetic cruelty and never will.”

“As far as I can tell, I was a spill Roman made years ago that he had enough money to clean up.”

THESE TWO QUOTES ALONE RUINED ME. My heart continuously tore into two for Cecelia and so when I went towards the ending of this book, and realised what happened, I never thought I would feel so sad for someone. She deserves so much better.

4.5/5 ⭐️
wow wow wow. i feel drunk. this book was SO confusing but like in a good way...i think. i felt like i knew what was happening, and then something happened and i was confused all over again. it definitely kept me interested though because i just wanted to find out what happened. everything about it was amazing. the tension, spice, mystery aspect, and ugh don't even get me started on DOM!!!

docking half a star because of how confused i was throughout the whole book. like i for real felt like i was drunk reading this. i would have definitely enjoyed this better if i knew what was happening and could actually react instead of just saying "wait, what just happened. im so confused."

i cant wait to start exodus. although im TERRIFIED because i've heard this book breaks you :) so excited for that hahah
