This was a terrible book but the audiobook kept me and my girlfriend awake on a 12 hour roadtrip, so do with that information what you will. The concept was really interesting, but the writing was difficult to get through.

This was very much a beach read - over the top and unfortunately, forgettable. I think I keep thinking that I like Unger's style more than I do, but I've apparently not really liked anything I've read by her. This book was just all over the place. Mako was such an over the top character that I was waiting for something bad to happen to him because he was such a pain. The quick switch to Henry was confusing and felt out of place - and when it was finally revealed how he fit into the rest of the plot, it was so absurd and out of nowhere that I just didn't care at all.

If you're looking for a quick read that's borderline silly with how over the top it is, this might be a good choice. However, if you're someone who likes to be able to find clues to figure out the mystery, give this one a pass, since it makes almost no sense...
