I enjoyed this novel but Kelly was just slightly annoying by the end. Mart was described in the story as the perfect guy and this was confirmed by every secondary character in this novel, but Kelly never could believe it. The author does a great job of convincing us why Kelly has so many issues, but I didn't understand why so many scenarios were created in this story to cause Kelly to doubt Mart. By the end of the novel it was overwhelmingly clear Kelly had trust issues. While others suggest to her she had PTSD issues, you never see her obtain help, but you do get to see her freak out...a lot. It really interrupted my enjoyment of their romance. It seemed like an unnecessary amount of drama.

On the other side though, the story was an enjoyable escape. Just a simple story about two people who are viewed differently by the outside world, finding a common ground with one another. It had a strong family dynamic which I loved. Mart really imprints himself in their lives and I loved reading about how he bonds with each member of the family...not just Kelly. Mart was a great character overall. We only get a chance to read his POV a couple of times, but it doesn't really distract from the enjoyment tale he has to tell. He still makes an impression and easily earns his place in your heart. Their love scenes couldn't really be described as fade to black, but they are not overly descriptive either. So this story is really more sweet than sexy.

Overall, an entertaining read with a great, thrilling romance.

This was a new author to me. A MF contemporary romance. I loved this book and found it hard to put down. The main characters were real and lovable. I'll definitely read this author again.
