This is my first review ever. (Hi Becs and Steph! :))
This book was equal parts touching and hilarious. I didn't think I'd tear up listening to this book, but he shared some really heartfelt sentiments/stories from his past.
I listened to the book which I think enhanced the experience as it is read by Leslie Alan Jordan himself.
It was a delightful, short listen.

This book made me smile a lot. It also made it all the more sad that the world no longer has Leslie Jordan in it.

From the little I know, Leslie Jordan was a genuine, kind, funny guy but there was nothing too special about the memoir.

The end of this book about made me cry, since I read it nearly 2 years after his death.
Him telling me, “this isn’t goodbye forever. It is only goodbye for now,” about broke my heart.
Before Leslie held us down in the pandemic, I enjoyed seeing him in various films and tv shows. The pandemic only made me love him more than I did before.
Crazy enough, I never knew he wrote a book until now.
Hearing this in his voice made it so much better too! He kept me smiling and laughing just as he did when he was still on earth. There were heartwarming stories here, inspiring stories, and of course the funny ones.
Leslie Jordan was truly a treasure. I’d absolutely listen to this book again. Reading this makes me want to revisit many of his works too, so I’m gonna get on that.

I chose to "read" this one on Audible & I was not disappointed. Leslie himself narrates the book, which adds significantly to the charm.
