This book was extremely sad, but realistic to todays society. The pacing was fast, which I really liked, but I was confused about the characters in the beginning and felt I had to write down who was who and who knew who, etc etc. Overall, I think the book was written very well and emotionally and the only flaw this book had was the random chapters that were not needed and the lack of explanation. Other than that, if you are looking to enjoy an emotional, intense rollercoaster, this is the perfect book for you.

I will never be getting over Tómas’ death.

This book was so frustrating. It took a very serious, tragic topic and made it it into something clearly written for sales and the hopes that some of its weird one-liners would be regarded as profound. 

Yes, it’s a fast read, and no, it doesn’t glorify school shooters. But everything else about it was so wrong, and didn’t do real life mass shooting survivors and victims any justice. The lack of research on the subject is obvious, which is incredibly disheartening. To me, the book just seemed like a grab for money. 

The characters were so one-dimensional, and the familial relationships were confusing because of their lack of depth one minute, and their dialogue being the opposite the next minute. All of the different POVs could’ve honestly been the same person. That’s how little each character differed from the next. None of them stood out except for the school shooter, who was also very cookie-cutter evil from start to finish, giving in to every stereotype, written very lazily IMO, which really diminished the severe gravity of an event like this. None of the characters faltered from their specified roles, unfortunately rendering most of the story rather forgettable. 

Also, the town the story is set in is called Opportunity, and was name dropped beyond proclivity. Which just angered me even more. The writing in general was just not great.

 Heartbreaking story & made me cry. Loved Sylv, Autumn, and Tomas!! Very Suspensful!! Love the LGBTQ+ representation and very terrifying but very interesting

Im very careful with my rating system, only giving 5 stars to books I throughly enjoyed. And this was a heart and gut- wrenching novel. I couldn't set it down, every new perspective with each passing minute I felt like I was there side by side with each character. I cried and laughed and was disgusted all along with every one of them. I felt like I was in the thick of it with them. This book may not be for everyone due to its content warnings but my god I will 100% read this again. It broke my heart but it was by far the best book I've read this year.

This is where it ends is a book about a school shooting. It has 4 different POV’s which are all likeable characters but you might feel more attached to specific ones since there is a pretty wide range of personalities, interests, race, sexuality and their home situations. There is a LOT of death in this book, also with characters you might have started to care about a lot. I personally didn’t cry but I was on the verge of. The POV’s are people that are all connected to the school shooter in different ways, the nature of their relationships with him are all very different which makes it so interesting. Ex-girlfriend, sister, sister’s girlfriend and sister’s girlfriend’s brother/school shooters ‘enemy’. 
In between chapters it sometimes also has tweets or blog posts from other students or people connected to students/ teachers at the school and also some that aren’t connected to the school or it’s pupils and staff whatsoever. They show different reactions from the outside and inside to what is happening.
I gave it 3.5 stars out of 5 because even though this is an important subject and the character POV’s we’re very interesting, I don’t want to read this book again. I don’t feel very attached to it, BUT I would recommend this to people. I think it’s a good read for once and then you kind of just… move on.
It’s written in easy English and I think anyone could read this, unless you get triggered by things that happen in the book. Which is why I think it is important to read trigger warnings.

…..eh….maybe in another life I would’ve enjoyed it more but it took me 3+ months to read which made it feel like I was just trying to get it over with halfway through. Also hate the excessive amount of flashbacks like Idk just didn’t feel necessary in this type of book. Also x2 feel like it kinda romanticizes school shootings but I’m probably just an idiot. Kinda corny.
