I enjoyed Swanson's last novel, [b:Her Every Fear|29938032|Her Every Fear|Peter Swanson|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1484251504l/29938032._SX50_.jpg|50328715] so I was excited to read this one. I liked the psychological element in the last novel, and hoped that this one would be the same. All the Beautiful Lies was just an okay read for me. I kept reading in hopes that it would get better, so I did finish this book, and that earned a star on it's own. I do like the books dark tone, much like [a:Patricia Highsmith|7622|Patricia Highsmith|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1418715271p2/7622.jpg]'s writing. The cover is gorgeous on this one!

Quick fun read, though I did enjoy his other book, Her Every Fear, a bit more. A good mystery, quick plot, just a bit hurried and forced at the end.
