Muy rápido de leer pero algo frustrante cuando al protagonista le daba la pájara (badumtss porque se apellida Bird). Me ha asesinado a plena luz del día en la calle con algunas cosas que se han dicho en el libro porque ouch.

Cute! Some awkward character interactions (and, like, gaslighting?) that didn't sit well with me, but overall I liked the romance -- and the Deaf and ASL representation!

I hate this so much. This entire book feels like the main character having very valid and deep rooted trauma and everybody ridiculing him and telling him that hes being selfish for it. He is never listened to and the love interest feels so wishy washy I was actually mad they got together. I have nothing redeeming to say except I'm glad its over. The narrator is weirdly stilted and it makes listening really hard and annoying.

This is a gorgeous book. I cannot wait to read more of this author's work. What an incredible book for young LGBTQ+ folks. Just gorgeous and natural and complicated and beautiful. Everyone needs to read this.

Nate and Oliver's "epic" love story was not really so epic to me. They were sweet together...except we never really got to know them as a couple. The characters in this book are truly despicable; I think the only one I didn't hate at some point was Ashley. I appreciated the way the author dove into what it really means to be a teenager -- awkward conversations, not knowing what to do with yourself half the time -- but I still wish they'd made the characters a bit more likable. And is virginity really a defining trait?? All in all I wasn't the biggest fan of this one, but I think it's more of a "it's me not you" situation.
