Meghan Quinn, you did it again queen!! This is the second book in the Agitators series and it had me just as captivated as the first.
Eli is the teamās biggest playboy. That is until after years of pining for the girl he swore heād stay away from, he finally gives in and has a passionate one night stand with his best friendās sister and is left wanting moreā¦ and man does he get so much moreš
š„š„š„S P O I L E Rš„š„š„
5 weeks after their encounter and promising each other it would only be for one night, Penny finds out sheās pregnant.
Eli is thrown out of his player ways into a domesticated life while getting to know the mother of his child. He stepped up in every way possible and was so stinkin lovable!! He did everything in his power to break generational trauma and prove he would be a good father. My heart hurt for him a lot, I just wanted to hug him!
Penny can be annoying and over the top, sheās definitely not going to be a naturally lovable character to everyone. Sometimes I wanted to yell at her to snap the heck out of it bc some of her choices were absolutely ridiculous and illogical, but that is human nature! We all know us women arenāt always logical lol especially when you add pregnancy hormones into the mix! Other times I was cracking up at her insanity and the pranks she would pull. (The tracker one was hilarioussss)
There were so many different tropes going on! Brotherās best friend, forbidden love, accidental pregnancy, forced proximity, one bed, etc.
If you hate books with surprise pregnancy, this one probably isnāt for you. If you donāt, then run to your bookstore or kindle bc this one had me cackling!!
The author does such a great job with the character building and making you wonder which of the hockey stars love story will be next. Overall I liked the first book more than this one, but I canāt wait to dive into the third!

Penny is a horrible awful gaslighting jerk of a human who takes absolutely no responsibility for her own awful behaviors.
Iām breaking up with Meghan Quinn. Done. No more. She writes some of the most ridiculous stereotypes of women. I hate it.

But the main characters... oh God.
I took it easy on the MMC because he had abandonment issues and I truly believe he was dealing with everything in the best way possible, even if he failed to communicate properly some times.
But the FMC? Jesus fucking Christ, I wanted to throttle her! She was so fucking insecure for no reason, she had the communication skills of a toddler and she just kept using her pregnancy as an excuse for acting like an impulsive little shit with no sense of affective responsibility.
So the main issue kept dragging on and on because these two adults couldn't manage to act accordingly.
I will continue the series because, like I said, the supporting characters were good and I'm interested to see their own stories unfold. And I did like this book when the main pair managed to say what they were thinking and feeling every once in a while. But if I never see the inside of Penny's head again, it will be too soon.
