This was handed to me by my brother without much comment, which I feel this manga kind of needs. It’s not bad, I simply don’t understand the meaning, it doesn’t have any kind of impact to me. I understand the concept and the more technical aspects, but story wise it’s not compelling nor relatable.

The art style is really not to my tastes, it‘s hard to identify characters, with few exceptions. The long spindly like limbs and bodies of everyone also feel off. I’m fully aware that they’re not human, but they look human enough that the whole look comes off as disturbing.

Judging the whole series by this first book I’m not ready to do yet however; I will read more and see if there’s something I’m missing. And maybe the artwork just needs some getting used to.

3.5 stars. I am new to manga, so I think I confused myself by reading some of this out of order. The art in this was really beautiful and I was interested in the story even when I didn't understand it. I did get confused by all the characters-- most of them looked really similar and I couldn't tell them apart. There's a cute snail so maybe I'll read more of these!

Hmmmmm...I really wanted to love this but the characters all looked the same and you could only really differentiate between them by the hairstyles and even then it wasn’t that obvious who was who *clutches head* I really think this would have worked SO much better in colour. The artwork was also a bit messy at times so I wasn’t 100% sure what was going on but I did really like Phos and Dia and I am intrigued to find out what happens next...so what should I do? Continue with the manga or watch the anime?

Decisions decisions.

I read a lot of positive things about this unique anime full of crystal beings fighting entities from their moon, so I thought I’d give the manga a try. I didn’t care for it, unfortunately! I liked the concept and what I made out of the story, but It was extremely difficult to figure out what was happening in unclear illustrations, and I had trouble telling many of the characters apart. The fight scenes were the most unclear.
