This book is honestly one of the best books I’ve ever read in my entire life. The story is heart wrenching and inspiring. The characters draw me in and I care for every single one like they are real friends or family of mine. This book may not be for everyone so heed the trigger warnings and go in with an open mind, but in the end, I think you’ll love it dearly. It’s beautiful and moving. It put me in a major slump but I have zero regrets. READ THIS!

Spoiler I wanna start by saying I feel terrible for the fact that her child died. Like I was shook when I read that in the acknowledgments - that’s so sad. I honestly feel really guilty cause while I was reading it I kept thinking it just doesn’t feel as good as the first two. And when she said I’m sorry if you read this book and thought my writing wasn’t as good - absolutely sent me. Idk why Chloe insists on making me cry. But the .5 was lowkey for her. She’s a fantastic author and I feel so so sorry for her (but I’m so happy she continued writing).
Ok let’s get to the juicy deets. Lowkey I gave this book a 4 cause it felt like a recap even tho it obviously wasn’t. I feel like it was very recapy. And some people might like that but I honestly love details and I don’t like a lot of time skips. For example the first two book were mainly focused on like 3 months but this book jumped through 6 years and it was less pages then the other two. I’m not complaining tho cause it was really lovely. I’m not gonna lie idk why but I wasn’t expecting to love Aoife as much as I do. She’s such a lovely girl, I think she perf for Joey and I liked their relationship. He literally loved her soo much and I liked that they were their own people and didn’t change for each other/ force each other to change (except for his not so little addiction problem). When iris (goo goo dolls) came on the car radio and she was like this is our song I WAS LITERALLY LIKE THATS CRAZY CAUSE I WAS THINKING THAT TOO!!! But the song list at the end when she put cardigan and all too well😭😭 for Aoife’s feelings plssss Mrs Walsh you are trying to kill me?!?! All I’m all Joey Lynch and Aoife Malloy are my faves I absolutely love them both to death especially my baby Joseph<33333
The fact that he’s close with her mam and dad is sooo cute. I absolutely adore tony and joeys little bromance.
Also seeing his home life was so emotional constantly cause of what I already know happens from the other books. But seeing his relationship with his siblings and how he’s literally a mother and father to them. Literally seany boo and dada oo-ee 4lyf🥹🥹 I’m tearing up now just thinking about it. Also can I just say I love Tadgh and Ollie I’m really glad the siblings get screen time and their own personalitys - but lowkey Tadgh is sooo much like Joey. Also I get really tearyeyed when I think about getting his pov when he finds out his parents died cause I don’t know if I’ll be able to handle that. Spoiler that I’m so annoyed about is that he’s gonna have a kid (idk how I feel about it but I feel like I have to read more to see how it’s gonna happen). Also I’m sooooooo excited about the next book cause we’ll have more Gibsie (I LEGIT MISSED HIM) also I actually love joeys relationship with them (him and Johnny) - like when they carried the mams coffin with him🥹 literally ryders4lyfe. Gassed that they’re all gonna be in 6th yr together. Also it’s so sad that Darren abandoned him but low-key I’m happy that they’re gonna mend things.
OMG - this has nothing to do with this book - BUT OMG LIZZIE AND HUGHIE I MEAN I SUSPECTED IT WHEN I SAW THE COVER FOR HIS BOOK BUT I WAS SHOOOOOOK WHEN I HEARD CHEATING TROPE I LITERALLY DID NOT SUSPECT THAT AT ALL!!!!! I thought he was obsessed with Katie(lowkey confused af) but we’ll see…

I really enjoyed reading about Joey and Aoife's love story even though they're not my favorites, Joey is a bad boy with a heart of gold and Aoife is a badass whom I loved learning more about. Chloe Walsh continues to be able to break my heart and hook me to her books. Can't wait for the next one now that we are near the timeline of the first two books and I hope the rest of the cast will appear more and we will get to experience still more heartbreaking moments
