Wasn’t a huge fan of the writing style. The constant flashbacks every chapter to explain every little thing, was annoying.

However the plot, the story and the characters all made me more emotional than I expected to be.

This is a true coming of age story! The narrator is 15 or 16 and processes this events in the story as such. I found it to be such a good read honestly, I think this really nailed that 'in between' feeling  of still having a foot in childhood and stepping into a harsh world with real consequences. I really would love to see this turned into a movie

Not for me. Felt like YA. Couldn’t get into the characters.
