I loved the characters. I mean they were fantastic! Strong independent determined Skye, and Marcus strong, determined, emotionally closed off. Their strength of character clashed making sparks fly. Loved it. And I liked the beginning. The only issue I had was that it was to short to do the story full justice. this could have had twists and turns, ups and downs, more getting to know one another. It was short and sweet (with a helping of steamy sex) but I felt the author missed a great opportunity to make an amazing book.

I was hoping for a bit more, to be honest. The story worked as far as it went, but I really would have liked more attraction between the main couple. I didn't really understand why they were attracted to each other....just because it was fated? What if they were horrible people?

I didn't like either of the MCs. She threatens to expose him and basically ruin his life, and is surprised he left her? And mad that he lied to her about being a shifter? Really? He's a condescending jerk, and controlling to boot, and he's freaking angry that she wants her freedom? The miscomunication is awful, I hate this trope. And finding out someone is your mate only when you have sex is something I'm not a fan of. Specially because shifters seem to be men only in this universe (not that I can be sure, since it's never even mentioned, but I think that might be the case, maybe), so that just gives them an excuse to sleep around. And how can they not know, if the attraction H felt for h was like nothing he experienced before (his own words)? Are they stupid or something?

I wasn't a fan of the guy, Marcus - he was kind of controlling. the author addressed this a little, but controlling men don't change. And the spice got a little rough for my taste. But I did love Skye!! She was super strong and stood up for herself.
