“In order to get to the good stuff you’ll have to trudge through a mountain of abandonment issues and damage… once you finally reach the gooey center you’ll realize that underneath all that crap is a guy who not only wants to be loved but will give that back tenfold. Once he pulls his head out of his ass.”

I loved this story.

Couldn’t put it down. This book was so good! I loved the development of the story from high school to early adulthood. It was long but it was so captivating it felt shorter. Loved Phoenix, loved Lennon, loved all the side characters.

Chaotic. Toxic. Shitshow. Drama.....
Yet I loved this. All of it. At times it seemed drawn out and other parts seemed rushed like the author didn't want it to end. BUT neither did I.

Read the trigger warnings for this one because there is a lot going on, but also, it's worth it.

This one has been on my TBR for a while now and it did not disappoint. There was so much angst and chemistry oozing off the pages...and I am here for it. It has been a while since a book actually made me cry, but I connected with these characters so much, it brought tears to my eyes and a lump in my throat on more than one occasion. I really wanted to hate Phoenix but I found myself rooting for him, even though he was so unlikeable. I believed every emotion that Lennon tangled with both with Phoenix and her dad. This one will stick with me for a long time.

3.5 ⭐️ - new adult novel with lots of spice. MFC & MMC are very immature and toxic but so are most characters written in their early 20s. Especially when the story is essentially the embodiment of sex, drugs, and rock & roll.
I enjoyed a lot of the banter - especially with the side characters - I was even laughing at some parts.
Good not great but still enjoyed the read!

For the girls that were bullied for their size in school, there is nothing better than an "I got hot" revenge arc. Sure she could have stayed bigger but it made sense in this book for it to unfold the way it did.

love this book

This was a bit of a rollercoaster for me. I went back and forth loving and hating the main male character! He was such a damaged soul but some things are a bit unforgivable. In the end I loved him again! Overall I loved this book! I was FULLY invested the whole time! I am for sure waiting to see if we will get stories about some of the other characters! I have questions!
