Extreme Book Nerd Your Way Challenge 2022

Sookie, Bill, and Eric are off to New Orleans to find a vampire killer who is killing other vampires in a pretty grusome way. The three of them all have ideas of why the killer is doing what he is doing, but the real reason was a surprise to all. I liked this one and the Art was well done also.

Eh, I picked this up at the library. They have a way of displaying books that makes them look better than they really are. Like the deli at Whole Foods. I got a pad Thai salad there the other day, and all I could taste was the overwhelming flavor of green onion. I had to throw that shit away, and it was like six dollars.

Anyway-not sure where this fits in on the series timeline. After S4, because Eric and Sookie have already hooked up. Sookie is with Eric and Bill in New Orleans investigating a vampire serial killer, while Pam forces Lafayette to work at Fangtasia. Neither story makes much sense honestly, but the first half makes you hopeful that it will. Spoiler-your hopes will be dashed like so much pad Thai salad.

Why did Lafayette have to work at Fangtasia? How did Sookie figure out the mystery? Isn't it kind of a BIG deal that Eric gets Hep D? That is never mentioned on the show. How do the comic writers manage to get the location of Fangtasia wrong? (It's not in Bon Temps, that is just basic.)

I've already thought about this too much. The show got really bad, like career-tarnishing bad. The comics could have spun off and done their own, better thing, but it looks like nope.

This I found better than the first two because it felt a lot more like a story rather than looking for a reason to tie some additional memories together. The story itself is okay, although the characters got to interact a lot more (which improved the overall plot).

Ahhhh, this makes me miss Eric and Godric so much. I always wished Godric had stuck around longer in the television show.

A great start to what looks like an awesome comic book series set in New Orleans!

Vampire murders....Revenge. All of my favorite characters from True blood! Yess I loved it all. The storyline definitely kept me interested and the illustrations were amazing, so life like. Iā€™m going to read more in the series for sure!!

It's enough to make me want to continue on with the series. Godric and Pam look delicious.
