This was one hell of a ride. I haven't read anything quite like it before. It's witty, bizarre, nonsensical, and original. To be honest, I can't even begin to describe how I feel about this series. But I can assure you, it's mostly positive.
1: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - Five stars!! Definitely my favorite among the five.
2: The Restaurant at the End of the Universe - Three and a half stars. Still interesting but it didn't live up to the awesomeness and humor of the first book.
3: Life, the Universe and Everything - Two stars. This book bored me.
4: So Long and Thanks for All the Fish - Four stars. My favorite character dies in this book. Sigh.
5: Mostly Harmless - Four stars. I was wondering how the series was going to end. And when it did, I had to read the last chapter again because I couldn't believe that it ended.

Averaged it out and it's a solid 2 stars. The first two were fun, and i had a good time but from then it just felt like a desperate attempt at making money. I understand that these books were influencial in some way, but why take a good thing and ruin it by trying to duplicate it and failing

It was fun though less satirical then I expected. Also the ending seemed kinda abrupt to me.
