it wasn't so bad, but i liked the first book better and found this one quite boring in comparison. i'm just hoping everything gets solved by the next book because otherwise it's just going to feel dragged out for me and i fear i'm not gonna continue. i liked the last chapter though and levi is still my #1 baby angel so a star for him, but it's starting to feel like he and dominic are just so. one-dimensional at times and it's starting to irk me. to quote another review, "looking at the target audience for these books it is difficult to read them without feeling like it is just there as a gay fetish for straight women instead of intimate relations between two characters," i couldn't agree more.

All bets are off.

Levi and Dominic have been together three months, with no sign of the Seven of Spades. Levi knows they are still out there, and has been spending every hour outside of work and Dominic obsessively researching the killer. A new string of murders turn up the heat. When Barton goes on trial, and Levi is forced to reveal his belief that the Seven of Spades is still out there, the public goes wild.

A solid 4.5 stars. I still think I know who the killer is, but the story is riveting, and Levi and Dominic are still adorable.
