It held up. Was reminded of this while watching TLOU

Excellent piece of sci-fi dystopia while still feeling rooted in a real Earth.
I appreciated another example of aliens that could adapt and merge to create a new society rather than only bowling over the one they are conquering. Plot comparisons could be made to The Host, but the writing and changes in perspective here work very well. I know there will be a sequel (what books don't have them these days?) but I will likely be reading it.

This novel constantly kept me on my toes and managed to surprise and completely baffle me several times. I liked the multiple POVs in this book Cassie's bantering with Nugget was cute. Zombie POV was like a character out of a Spy movie and finally The Silencer gave Edward Cullenish vibes...The dialogue, the banter, the altercations, all of it was written in such a realistic dialogue.I found the world-building and tone to be most incredible, there were certainly some thought-provoking moments to boot, and the story telling was spellbinding.Read my entire review on this here; http://www.peacockfeatherz.com/5th-wave-rick-yancey/
