the book claimed to be about physics (without the gobbledygook - to quote the book) but I found it extremely wordy and not very simple at all - 10 pages in there were lots of diagrams without letting explanation of what they were or for

I enjoyed the style of this book, combining interviews with reviews and informed “opinion”. The problems the author dives into are ones i have often wondered but found hard to navigate due to the exceas of literature on the subjects, the author does a good job at pruning this.
Overall the book is a bit choppy and conceptually inconsistent without spending the time to realise and explain this. But a very good starting point for approaching existential questions from a physicist point of view.
Not for everyone, some background science familiarity is useful.

I've long been interested in physics but I get lost before understanding sets in. I did not get lost in this book. In each section, I got to choose whether to spend time contemplating the ideas rather than feeling booted out due to not being able to follow the explanation. I feel proud for finishing this book yet I acknowledge that the credit goes to the author.
