I mean, what else does there have to be said about a classic?? I read this so long ago and wanted to revisit after seeing the prequel movie. It was fun to revisit with more attention and a different perspective. Excited to journey through the series again!

This was a reread from not reading the book in a while. I was scared that I would hate it and that was not the case at all. I devoured this book like never before the story was intriguing, it pulled on my heart strings, I cried, I laughed, everything you can think of I did. Honestly it’s so much better when you’re mature and not the age of 11 or so to read this book because of how fucked up this book is. The mention of Katniss almost getting plastic surgery shocked me to my core she’s a child and wanted to perform plastic surgery so she can fit their aesthetic as if she didn’t just brutally murdered people, it was amazing (weird that I said that but whatever).

I am a Everlark shipper even when people were saying that Gale is superior (IM LAUGHING AT ALL OF YOU WHO THOUGHT THAT) so reading the things Peeta did and said made me giggle like a school girl with a crush was everything I needed. I knew I liked the Hunger Games but now I know that I LOVE the Hunger Games. I have only read and watched the first movie but that was some time ago so I’m excited to get to read the rest of  the series. If I could I would rate this 6 stars.

It’s been so years since I read the series and I have gotten a resurgence of my love. In someways I was at aw at my recollection with lines and in other parts it felt like the first time again. I was able to take in the words and be sucked in. Honestly an amazing read. I Peeta will always have a special place in my heart. Just a great character

I LOVE THE HUNGER GAMES!! Peeta is so boyfriend and I just want to protect everlark with my heart and soul!!! Okay so there’s a lot of debate on when Katniss fell in love with Peeta online

but she IS in love with him when she “fakes it” in the interview saying when he didn’t have to be a threat she could be honest about how she felt. Her inner thoughts make it so obvious how much she cares for him, like deep deep love. Just my opinion. Also my heart hurts at the end because he thinks she faked it all and I just AHHH
