So Abbi Glines has been a little bit hit & miss for me as an author.
I've read [b:The Vincent Boys|12900174|The Vincent Boys (The Vincent Boys, #1)|Abbi Glines|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1327184585s/12900174.jpg|17572318] = 3 stars
I've read The Existence trilogy so far and again 3 stars.
I've read [b:Breathe|11479285|Breathe (Sea Breeze, #1)|Abbi Glines|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1341120438s/11479285.jpg|16371399] and it was a DNF for me :(
I didn't bother reading [b:Because of Low|13146214|Because of Low (Sea Breeze, #2)|Abbi Glines|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1322924946s/13146214.jpg|18323697] since I didn't enjoy Breathe.
She's a bit like Simone Elkeles in this respect for me, I didn't get what all the hoopla was about.

But everyone was going on and on and on and on..........about this book & how good it was & how hot it was yadda yadda yadda.

OMFG they were so right! Abbi Glines has hit the nail on the head right here!

This was sooooooooooooooooooooo good and soooooooooooooooooooooo hawt and sooooooooooooooooo Sweet:)

Cage is your typical bad boy manwhore. Smokin hawt, messed up youth and home life etc.

Eva is understandably broken, from the get go your heart breaks for her & what she has been through & you can totally understand her reluctance to have anything to do with Cage.

But he just has this way of getting to her and to be fair she gets to him in a big way too.

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing particularly new here but it was just done so damn well!
I loved
SpoilerThe dry humping and fooling around that went on before any actual sex, I think this is just so much more realistic to how teenagers act, I don't know many who just go from kissing, then falling in love, then sex! With absolutely no fooling around involved! COME.ON.
I LOVED how she dealt with this.

Overall I think this is an author who really seems to be going from strength to strength with each book she writes.
I wasn't gonna bother with [b:The Vincent Brothers|13369678|The Vincent Brothers (The Vincent Boys, #2)|Abbi Glines|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1330071594s/13369678.jpg|18598990] but after reading this I am off on my merry way to see how Sawyer gets on...or off LOL.

Enjoyable read. My one sticking point that I couldn't gloss over.... I was so disappointed that we didn't get to see Eva stand on her own. She went straight from her Dad's house and into Cage's. I would have loved to see something a bit more realistic like Eva enrolling in college and figuring out what HER plan was going to be.

I am LOVING this one so far. I read the prologue and was in tears. Wow. I love that it is its own book, while part of an overall story. There are peeks of Low, Marcus, and Larissa from Because of Low, but this book is great as a stand alone book, too. :)

ETA (8/4/12) I finished this book last night. Oh MY. I loved Cage. I love how vulnerable and loving he has become, I loved the growth of Eva. Oh, I loved it all. It gave me a new appreciation for nipple piercings, as well. ;)

Cage is still a loveable bad boy and Eva learns a hard lesson about not judging a book by its cover and moving on comes when you least expect it.

Maybe driving home after a few (or more) shots of tequila had been a bad idea, but hell, he did it all the time. The cops had to have been freaking bored to have pulled him over. He wasn’t even swerving! That’s Cage York’s story and he’s sticking to it.

Unfortunately, his baseball coach isn’t buying it. Cage has a free ride to the local junior college for baseball -- or he did, until he’d gotten a DUI. Now, Cage has to decide: does he drop out and give up his dream of getting noticed by a college in the SEC, and possibly making it into the Major Leagues -- or does he give in to his coach’s demands and spend his summer baling hay?

Eva Brooks planned out her life step by step when she was eight years old. Not once over the years had she lost sight of her goals. Josh Beasley, her next door neighbor, had been the center of those goals. He’d been her first boyfriend at seven, her first kiss at ten, her first date at fifteen, and her first tragedy at eighteen. The moment she’d received the phone call from Josh’s mother saying he’d been killed along with four other soldiers just north of Baghdad, Eva’s carefully planned life imploded in the worst way possible.

Cage isn’t real happy with his closet-sized bedroom in the back of a foul smelling barn, or his daily interactions with cows, but he knows that if he doesn’t make his coach happy then he can kiss his scholarship goodbye. Only a sick and twisted man would decide his punishment was to be working on a farm all summer. No hot babes in bikinis waiting to meet a Southern boy to make her vacation complete. Just him and the damned cows.

Oh -- and an uptight, snarky brunette with the biggest blue eyes he’s every seen. But she doesn’t count, because as hard as he’s tried to charm her out of her panties - he’s pretty sure she’d rather see him hung from the rafters than let him get a taste of her pretty little lips.

*Long sigh*.

These books just seem to be the same story, over and over. Girl is hurt in some way, "the boy will never love me", he sees her and thinks she's the most beautiful thing and makes him want to settle down and "gasp, an innocent Virgin! ".

I love the characters in the books, but I don't like the stories. And I don't like how every woman who shows an interest in the guy is portrayed as some big boobed bimbo hoe. But that's my opinion.

HOWEVER, I do like Abbi Glines' characters as I mentioned and Until Friday Night is one off my favourite reads of this year, if not ever. the Sea Breeze series just isn't my thing. But I own all four, so I'm going to read them.

This book was pretty good but I felt like I could predict the plot as soon as I read the first few chapters. I wanted a little more suspense and mystery in what would happen between Cage and Eva.
