Enjoyed Ruth Jones’ narration, and the hiraeth of the Welsh elements to the story. Didn’t like some of the dubious redemption arcs of some of the characters and some to the storylines felt a bit far fetched. Enjoyed reading about female friendship though.

I really enjoyed this light read. The characters are well developed and interesting stories of three women, Catrin, Lana, and Judith, at various stages of their lives, their loves, and falling outs. Each relatively short chapter is based on one viewpoint and their friendships. You can't help but fall in love with them all.  A warm, uplifting, smart, big-hearted book. Love betrayal and loss wonderfully written.

this was super fun and easy to read, and I kept coming back to it wanting to know what happens next. I often find books were the main characters are not likeable to me quite difficult to read, especially if they are malicious, but, even though I found Lana/Judith infuriating at some points, I kept coming back because they still had so much love.

Awful.

Unlikeable characters. Building a story for it to end with little resolution. Grown women acting like children. The Wedding scene. The funeral scene. The long held grudge, over not what it should have been, but something entirely insignificant to the story. For three supposed best friends, the way they treated each other when they were friends was horrible, never mind when they weren't friends. 

Just awful.
