4 they sure love a cliffhanger some weird predatory ish moments at the beginning I didn’t appreciate but the pace of this book was significantly better than the first one thoroughly enjoyable

I had a theory about Vivian from the first book and it turned out to be right, so that was exciting! I really enjoyed this sequel and am really excited to see where the story goes next

DNF.
Read the first 100 pages, got so bored, read the last 50 pages and knew everything that had happened in-between.
Don't waste your time.

It seems I spoke far too soon with Eve of Man :/ Aside from the absolute lack of plot, this second instalment also took a steep plummet downhill in terms of dialogue and narrative. I guess I'll have to finish the trilogy now but I really don't blame the publishers for delaying release date inevitably.

A couple years after reading the first book, I was worried it had been too long for me to remember what had happened but it brought the reader back into the universe very easily.

I thought the story was a good continuation of tension and I enjoyed the addition of a new perspective to read from. I thought a few of the plot twists were fairly predictable with some being classic tropes but all the dystopian/futuristic elements were very cool.

I look forward to reading the final instalment next year and hopefully it will bring everything together nicely.
