Trying to read the more difficult sections of my library this year, this is one of them. I can't believe I haven't gotten to Cummings yet. He expresses a lot of my own Romantic notions all in fragments and gorgeous breakdowns of language, as if unwrapping the secrets of the words.

My first introduction to e.e. cummings - one that I will not soon forget.

So much went over my head, but it didn’t matter because what was left got right to the essence of things. I first came across Cummings early in college.
He is among those early influences that has permanent sway. ❤️

Found this at the goodwill for a dollar and have been slowly working my way through it. Some of them are so good I printed them out and taped them onto my poetry wall (humanity i love you and buffalo bill’s) while others just make me roll my eyes and be like, okay, mr. cummings, i get that ur some fancy poet and all but like can u stop being horny on main for once
