This series has been with me for over a year. A long time ago my mom happened to pick it up off of a bookshelf and bought it for me thinking I might like it. Little did she know that it was six books long and that I would fall in love with the series. I cannot put into words how I feel right now after finishing this book. These characters amazed me. Some I loved, despised, hoped for, and cried for. I found myself in these pages. I found my feelings changing towards different characters throughout the series. <spolier> I hated Caine with all of my being in the beginning. Now I think he was my absolute favorite character. I sobbed when he died but laughed when reading his final note. </spolier> The character development was unlike anything I had read before.
If, for whatever reason, Michael Grant sees this, I want you to know just how much this series meant to me. You wrote a masterpiece. You wrote something I never knew I needed to read. But now I could not imagine not living in the FAYZ for the past year. And if you're reading this, debating whether or not to read this book or this series, this is your sign to do it. It's a lot to handle, but I promise it will all be worth it.
