My beloved Hastings wasn't in it (he was mentioned though), and still a great mystery. I couldn't put it down until I knew all the answers!

P.S. If Hastings was in it he would have surely fallen for Miss Grey--I love it when he does that.

Já tinha saudades de Poirot. Embora os crimes sejam sempre cometidos na alta sociedade e no meio de muito dinheiro, foi mais um mistério interessante, onde nada do que parece ser o é realmente. Poirot é sempre quem leva a melhor e, mais do que a sua inteligência e dedução, é a sua sensibilidade, mascarada de frieza de investigador, que me faz gostar cada vez mais da personagem.

This started off a little slow, and introduced a lot of characters; it was hard to keep track of them at first. Also, the point of view kept shifting, and we didn't actually see much of Poirot.

The second half picked up a bit, and I didn't completely solve the mystery, so it was a solid read, overall.

However, it did contain some profanity, including God's name used as an exclamation.
