I haven't watched the HBO series, but from what I've read on DoesTheDogDie dot Com the TV series has taken a grain of truth from the book and made it more violent; shocking and 'sexy' (this is HBO we're talking about here). If you've tried the series and struggled due to some of the content, please give the book a go as the overall tone & content is more in-keeping with the science fiction from the 19th/20th century than anything more modern. I wasn’t expecting the ending.

I understood the group wanted to end Braithewhite but how could they? It seemed like a wild leap for the Winthrope ghost to help. And I kind of wish that scene was written about. </>It was a long book and as an ebook reader I just need to anticipate that more upfront lol
Hypolyta and Ruby were my two favorite characters and I was so happy each got a chapter to explore more about them. If there were ever to be a sequel, I’d love to see a focus on them.
