A lovely and funny romp of a clumsy girl who meets a royal prince after she almost destroyed a garden and was wrapped in ivy on the floor. From then on it was a funny and sometimes sentimental story of what involves being a royal prince's girlfriend and the tangle of details involved in their daily life. I loved Bella, she was feisty, clumsy, funny, smart and kind. Richard was sometimes sweet and a few times a royal jerk, but he did love Bella. Also liked the characters around the main couple. I thought that Prince George and Lottie should get to have their own book, they have a lot of promise. The one thing I didn't like is that the situation with Princess Eleanor and the Chloe brat was never finalized.

Royal romances sometimes feel like a dime a dozen, but only a rare few hit the mark. This is one of those. And why? Bc it’s so real. The author hasn’t fumbled the form and function of the British monarchy. Our hero has the kind of charm you would expect from a prince but remains reserved in a way that feels realistic to someone of his station. And our commoner heroine has a strong sense of self and, well, a backbone - something that so many contemporary MF authors do imbue their FMCs with.

And even though this one is on the longer side it somehow moves at a brisk pace so that we see the full scope of the relationship from beginning to marriage without it ever feeling tedious. And yes, some plot threads are dropped and some of the side characters are really more a sketch than something tangible, but at the core both the MCs are very well drawn, with some comedic relief from Bella’s parents and a really good friend in Lotte.

This is for sure an all time fave MF royal romance for me. Highly recommend!

A quirky, sweet love story.

A quirky, sweet love story.

I find this book very entertaining. I enjoyed the characters very much. I really liked how Bella kept her identity and stood her ground, when she could have easily succumbed to the Royal way. I particularly loved the dynamic between her and the King. it was nice to see lighthearted side to him. I found myself laughing out loud many times. I hope you find this book as enjoyable as I did.

I really liked this book! I have wanted to read it for a while and once I got it in my hands, I could not put it down! I related to the clumsy Bella but I also was able to understand what she was going through having been burned by a previous crush.

I like To Marry a Prince, but it also was just a little to slow for me and lacked some excitement. Other than that it was a cute book!
