The author, a struggling perfectionist defines authenticity as “the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are.” Short powerful book that has stood the test of time.

Genuinely enjoyed this one! I definitely need to read it again to capture the nuances. I look forward to reading more of Brené Brown’s work.

I found this book incredibly informative and it really helped me think about some of my greatest mental health struggles in life. That said, I imagine it may not cater to everyone. Brown has a very self-help-esk writing style and uses a lot of religious language. But, for anyone who struggles with feeling of shame around always needing to be perfect, cannot recommend enough.

Not quite as profound as I was hoping but looking forward to picking up another one of her books.
