I absolutely loved the story. The only reason it's not 5 ⭐ is because there were moments I struggled with Shantel's writing style - but that's because I've read all her newer books and her style is just so much better now.

Holy s$@&!! This book needed to come with a warning and a requirement of eating popcorn. I felt like I was watching/reading a miniseries of bad boys.

This was definitely not what I was expecting. This book grabs you from the beginning and keeps getting better and better as the pages are turned. The suspense, the angst had chewing on my nails wondering what was going to be next.

It's a suspense, emotional, angsty, love story wrapped up all in one. Case and Taylor met in the most unconventional way and her brother Blane had something to do with it. This is one of these books that you have to read to understand the concept so I can't give it away. I did enjoy the three POVs yes three: Case, Taylor and Blane. This was such an interesting story and I'm actually looking forward to reading more on this couple that went thru hell and back to fight their attraction and then fight to stay together.

I voluntarily accepted an advanced reader copy of this book from the author and I don't regret it.

Long winded paragraphs. The main fmc was too high strung and had a high and mighty personality to a level that it was really hard to read through her POVs. She read very immature. Also even though it was obvious that this was going to be a reveal things later/nothing is what it seems type book - the constant references to secrets and unknowns almost made me feel like I’m supposed to know something and I don’t. Also Blane is kind of a dick for being a dick to his sister because she’s upset he got himself into what he did and he won’t give her any answers. Like it’s her fault. Lame.

Listen listen listen. I love me some Shantel Tessier but as I read through her earlier books I realize that they are not my speed. I was confused most of the book and felt like it dragged on. Overall though it was a good book and necessary to the world but don't think I'd read it again.
