I loved this book so much. The story of Hades and Persephone is a favorite because I am a lover of mythology. I was in tears as I came to the last pages, but I feel hope again.

This book is going to be loved by the YA or adult that loves mythology and a love story.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Made it 1/3rd of the way through. wanted to like it. Has a Keepers of the Lost Cities vibe, which didn't really gel with me.

Thief of Spring (Faeries of the Underworld Duology #1) by Katherine Macdonald – This is on kindle unlimited. If you want more romance than spice in your romantasy, this is a nice Hades/Persephone fairy romance! Even with a 17-year-old FMC (and I am starting to turn into a crone who yells at kids to get off her lawn lol), I liked this couple! Happy Reading!

Ooh, TWO books finished today? I'm on fire! :P

In a disappointing twist that shocks no one, I chose this book because I'm trash for mythology.

This was my first book by Katherine Macdonald so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I liked her voice right away. It was a really easy for me to fall into and made me fly through it! Turns out, I do actually quite like romance books. They just need to be done like this one.

It also reminded me of A Court of Mist and Fury quite a lot, and I didn't hate it. Didn't turn smutty though, so that's a let-down :P (kidding) (sort of)

Love a good Hades/Persephone retelling, and this one was definitely interesting. The author thought of a new way to tell a story that we've all read SO many renditions of and I appreciated that.

I couldn't give more than 3.5 stars, because I felt like this was an easy read - but not a series I needed to put on my physical bookshelf or re-read. Enjoyable, but not completely riveting.
