Art is gorgeous and apart from one odd extra bit of dialogue from Misato, the story itself is unchanged so far.

9/10. (For Whole Series) Evangelion is my second favourite anime of all time, and the manga compliments it superbly. Asuka is less bitchy and Shinji is less of a pussy. The art is great, but it suffers a bit during battle scenes which worked better in the show imo. The manga gives the reader a deeper look into the thoughts and feelings of the characters and the ending is magnificent. I still prefer the anime slightly over the manga, and I think that readers should watch it before reading this.

So I'd only read the Attack on Titan manga before I started this so I'm still pretty new to the manga format. That said, the manga is pretty much the same as the anime– the translations are different sometimes but honestly I love Evangelion so much that I'm having a great time even though I know what's gonna happen. And the extra interviews with the creators make me go feral for all the details, every time I learn something new I'm even more feral. It's very fun, and I'm keen to start vol. 2.
