Love that there is a second book because I want to see what happens! I was really sucked in and loved the twists and turns of this disturbing "family" situation. Very well written!

Unsure how reliable my review of this will be, since I accidentally read the sequel first- therefore I unintentionally know the main gist and ending of the entire book. That aside- an interesting read, very solid adult novel with very lovable and hate able characters alike.

Décevant. Le tout était assez prévisible. L’histoire était trop tirée par les cheveux pour être réalistes et vraiment m’emporter. Le livre était trop long.

Lisa never disappoints! Her writing style, the characters, and how twisted one family’s life completely changed just by being nice. Sometimes the Devil can be on your doorstep and you’ll never know.

I’ve heard so many wonderful things about this author and this book, that they’ve been compelled to read the sequel as the first was so brilliant! 

However, I didn’t feel thrilled, or gripped or what you should feel when reading a thriller. There weren’t the shocking moments where you sit staring unbelieving at what you’ve just been told. The twists and turns were predictable and the characters, though I can see how they were supposed to be layered and mysterious, were ordinary. 

I’m hoping that everyone else reads this book and finds the exact opposite. Though, I cannot say I will be racing to find out what happens next, I hope you will.
