The Arrangement was a hard novel to rate. The writing was excellent, and I was hooked overall by the story. This is my second novel by Robyn Harding, and I am so happy that I found her books. Yes, I am doing all the good stuff first before I say why this was 3.5, rounded up to 4, stars book. I was invested in the characters, even when they were not likeable, but something about Natalie turned me off.I could not feel bad for her, or her decisions. It had nothing to do with her being a sugar baby, but I think it was her attitude about everything. And Gabe was a bit of a male version of Natalie. I was more interested in Natalie's friend, Ava and Gabe's former sugar baby, Emily. The other reason I rated it a bit lower is the ending which I can't discuss here. I will say that I knew the killer and agreed with it, but how it all went down, I was a bit sad with. I cannot wait to read Harding's newest novel, Swap which sis waiting on eLibrary app.

***I received a complimentary copy of this ebook from the publisher through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.***

The Arrangement is a story about the relationship between a Sugar Daddy and his Sugar Baby. It was the blurb of the book that attracted me to it. I was expecting a fast paced psychological thriller. Unfortunately, what I got was a book full of clichés. The two main characters-Natalie and Gabe (the sugar baby and daddy in this case) had absolutely no chemistry. The Insta love between them and the inner monologues did not add any value to the overall story. It was a quick read and briefly delves into the sugar daddy-baby world, but not enough to make the book interesting. Overall, it was a wasted potential of something that could’ve been an exciting psychological thriller.

Natalie moved across the US from her hometown on the west coast to attend art school in New York City. While she loves school, she finds it hard to keep up financially. She shares an apartment with roommates that hate her and the fact that she can't pay her portion of the bills on time is not helping. She visits her friend, Ava's penthouse apartment in Chelsea and wonders how Ava can afford everything. Ava introduces Nat to a life as a sugar baby. At first it seems simple, you spend a few hours socializing with an older man, a sugar daddy, and you can earn $500 for a few hours time. Natalie's first date is Gabe, a handsome lawyer. Gabe is charming and finds Natalie endearing. He offers to start an 'arrangement' with her. He will pay her $3500 a month and she will spend a few evenings a week with him for dinner and social events. It is supposed to be easy for both parties and when the arrangement is no longer working, it will end with no hard feelings. Natalie is thrilled as she loves the way he treats her and makes her feel special. She realizes she is falling in love with him and is convinced he feels the same way. At least until he wants to end the arrangement. What happens next is a thrilling, suspenseful story!

I heard about this book and was ecstatic to receive an ARC. I flew through it in a few days, staying up late to read just a few more pages. The premise set in the sugar daddy/sugar baby world was fascinating I have read Robyn Harding's previous novel, The Party. This book is a completely different setting but equally as good of a book. I love books that transport you into the story and you can visualize what is happening. This is exactly what this book is!

The Arrangement had been sitting on my TBR shelves for way too long and I am so glad I finally read it. I buddy read this book with two lovely ladies on Instagram and we all gave it high praise! It reeled me in hook, line and sinker from the first page and none of us really stuck to the reading schedule as it was just so hard to put down! Another beauty from Robyn Harding! A big thumbs up from all of us

Decent plot although I am fairly sure I've read this before but 1. Can't exactly remember 2. Didn't note it down on GoodReads. The characters were very cliche but the ending was slightly better than average.

This book was repetitive and just wholly unsatisfying. It had such a great premise but was executed so badly. The ending was not satisfying at all. This book was not it for me.

I really, really enjoyed this novel.

After a couple of books that I struggled to get into, I couldn’t put this one down. It had more than one unexpected plot twist & was a novel to keep you on your toes.
