The Praise: I really liked the premise of this and I loved Aiden. He was so sweet, kind, and caring.

The Critique: I wish Sarah had been less of a pushover with her kids and her ex. I also just couldn’t stand Gabe. I was really hoping for a scene where the boys found out what their dad did and started treating Sarah with more respect but I didn’t get that.

Final Thoughts: I liked the plot and Kacey keeps me glued to the page. I just wish Sarah had been a stronger character.

• Thoughts:
This book was sweet. It started out really good! I really enjoyed it, then the closer to the end I got really annoyed with it. I was not a fan of Sarah. AIDEN was beyond perfect!! Everything and Sarah was not. I felt the last 20 percent of the book was rushed and thrown together. Some of the characters' dialog was kind of childish and kinda made it off putting at least for me. Like I said I did really enjoy the storyline and the characters and then there was this shift for me. Bit give it a shot!! You may end up loving it. I think there were a ton of similarities between this one and the first book. I dunno. Read it and let me know what you think.

•Narrator thoughts:
Robert Hatchert and SamanthaBrentmoor. Ummm hello perfection at its finest for these two!!!.

Normally second chance is not my favorite, but it was well done here. Everything else about the story didn't work. The relationship with the ex and her kids never really got resolved.

Anyone who has loved and lost that first love will feel the resonation from Wild Mistake, this amazing second-chance romance! Sarah’s reminiscing of her first love, Aiden, hits home when she returns to her hometown after a nasty separation and pending divorce. Reconnecting with Aiden is the last thing on her mind and yet somewhere along her healing, she finds herself again.

It was amazing seeing both their emotions out to play, and scary at how easy it was to empathize with Sarah and Aiden. Both have them had grown in the 18 years they’d been apart in such different ways.

Heart-wrenching=yes
Sweet and loving=also yes

I really enjoyed Sarah and Aiden’s second chance at love ♥️

I admired Sarah for recognizing she deserved more and better than what Jake was giving her. I can’t imagine it’s easy to make the choice to return home and have to rely on family to find your footing again, but Sarah didn’t hesitate. She fought for her independence and her boys despite the pain she was in (also side note: I loved that she had fibromyalgia! And I adored how Kacey handled her chronic pain condition. So realistic!)

And Aiden, don’t even get me started on him. He was so perfect and swoony. He knew exactly what he wanted and more importantly, what SHE needed. He gave her everything and more. I loved it when he stood up to Jake for her. And that scene with Gabe? Ommf my heart!

I love Kacey’s writing and this book was so enjoyable!

This is a brilliant second chance romance.
Sarah is back in her home town with her two teenage boys after finding out her husband has been cheating on her. What she didn't expect was that her high school boyfriend was also back living in town.
Aiden had left the Army and was back home and couldn't wait to see his ex Sarah. As soon as he saw her the feelings of love her had for her were back.
I loved how they were together but could they really get back the love they once had when so much had changed for them.
Plenty of drama with so much emotion but also lots of love with a perfect ending.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Just as good as the first, I started this series a year ago and I was so excited about the second book. I was finally able to get to it months after it released and it did not let me down! I loved Sarah and Aiden, they have a perfect second chance romance, where they reconnected as adults years later from their high school romance.

They had such an easy connection, they are friends first and it shows it everything they do and how they interact with each other!

I can't wait to continue the series with Tim's book!

Amazing

What a beautiful story of a couple who should have always been but kept missing their mark ❤️❤️

I love that he never pressured her but he didn’t totally give up on her either.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and getting the chance to reconnect with characters from Ryan & Val’s book ❤️

I just finished the audiobook version of this book and I really enjoyed it! I loved how soft but strong Aiden was portrayed.

This gem was narrated by Robert Hatchet and Samantha Brentmoor

Robert is newer to romance audiobooks and I really enjoyed his voice! It’s rich and smooth, deep but not super deep. I will definitely be looking for more from him in the future.

Samantha is just a powerhouse and I adore her!

A little spicy. It was okay. Second chance romance. The kids were assholes and it kind didn’t have much of a story. Not my favorite.
