It was entertaining enough. I really needed something I could just read through in a few days and this was just that. The plot and the mystery were quite good. I liked not knowing who was responsible for the murder, whereas in the first book of this series you know from the beginning who was responsible.
The whole plot about the medicine seemed a little far fetched but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if something like this actually happened some day.
Overall the book was entertaining and I enjoyed reading it.

A cute little mystery about who killed a man during a hurricane. The story takes place over an entire year. It starts in the middle because this is the second in a series. The main character is a book store owner in the south, I think florida. He is wealthy and has a lot of quirky friends. A man that he is friends with is killed and he tries to find the killer. The police let him become an active part of the investigation which seems unlikely but a cute little novel.

I had heard mixed reviews on this series, but found the first novel greatly enjoyable and was excited to dive right into the second one. As a side note, I audiobooked both the first and second books in this series and while both narrators were wonderful, I actually found the second book to be more interesting both narrator wise and story wise.

Rather than focusing on a book themed mystery, this novel places the reader directly in the middle of a hurricane in Camino Island. Ironically, Bruce becomes the protagonist of this story as he works to solve a murder mystery. I would note that this series is not a mystery the reader endeavors to solve first. Rather, it is something where you are simply meant to sit back and read/listen with no thoughts.

Building on the characters and relationships from Camino Island, this book starts with a hurricane hitting the island. I really enjoyed the whodunnit. Kept me wondering what else they were going to uncover.
