I liked the art. It was a cute little story of a Parisian crime fighting but sometimes crime doing badass girl named Bandette. Entertaining, lighthearted read. I enjoyed it.

Cute, funny, and a pleasure to read. Bandette is a teenaged French superhero/thief whose attitude to life is best summed up in one of her early quotes: "Bullets? How rude? Were they not beguiled by my adorable outfit? My charming wit?" I especially liked her army of helpers, who intercede on her behalf to foil her pursuers in a chase sequence (e.g., throwing motorcyles in the way, accusing the pursuers of purse snatching, etc..) This volume only collects the first part of a storyline, but you get a great taste of the series and Bandette's whimsy. The Colleen Coover art features her usual cartoony style, but heavily textured and colored, so there's a lot more depth than you expect. Looking forward to the next volume.

How fun and charming is Bandette? So happy to have the second volume on hand. Enjoyed the bonus urchin stories and Colleen Coover's penciling, inking, and coloring tutorial in the back. Looking forward to volume 2 for more adventure and candy bars.

SpoilerRIP Matadori, you were pretty delightful, despite your short life

This is a pure delight that is purely delightful and stroked my Francophile soul as well as my deep-seated love of the Cat Burglar Hero. (TM)

I would have thought something relentlessly positive and cheerful would get tired and feel one-note, but I was wrong. I want more.
